Best Rooftop Pools to hang out:

1) Reef 28 (Playa del Carmen)

This modern and comfortable rooftop pool area has a great location to assure an amazing panoramic ocean view and sunset. To upgrade your relaxing experience, there are also two jacuzzis on the roof and a luxury restaurant-bar to enjoy a delicious dish and drink.

3) Layla Tulum (Tulum)

4) Jashita Hotel (Tulum) 

Located just 10km away from Tulum in Soliman Bay, Jashita Hotel has three outdoor pools and a stunning bar-restaurant to spend the entire day. They also offer beachfront yoga sessions, snorkeling and scuba diving with a personal instructor.

5) Thompson Hotel (Playa del Carmen) 

No other rooftop pool in Playa del Carmen has a view like this, you can even see Cozumel from here. Located in the heart of Playa del Carmen, the international hotel chain nailed this modern pool design. It also offers an astonishing food and drink service, and the word on the streets is that the sunsets here are the best in Playa!

Best Cenotes

1) Dos Ojos

Located between Tulum and Playa del Carmen, Dos Ojos (Two Eyes) is one of the top cenotes to visit in the Mexican Caribbean. Its name refers to the two connected cenotes that are available to swim and dive in. Taking a guided snorkeling tour is also possible and recommended! 

2) Gran Cenote

This big cenote (“Gran” means “big” in Spanish) is only 10 minutes away from Tulum. Some people even get there by bike, it’s really close! Its refreshing crystal clear water is ideal for swimming and seeing amazing cave formations and marine life such as turtles and fish.

3) Suy-Tun

You’ll find this very special cenote on the road from Coba to Valladolid. This magical place stands out from others for its stalactite-covered ceiling and its rounded concrete viewing platform on the water. The spot is perfect for taking amazing pictures. 

4) Chikin-Ha

Chikin-Ha offers three different cenotes (a cave, an open and a dry cenote, in which Mayan ceremonies are still celebrated). The place is not only special for the amount and variety of cenotes, but also for the nice walking path in the jungle. Nature is definitely the protagonist here. 

5) Jardín del Edén

This is one of the biggest open cenotes in the area. It has lots of fish and it is famous for its underwater photography. Snorkeling in the subterranean caves is also allowed here with an instructor.

1) Mandala Beach Club (Cancún) 

This is not only one of the finest beach clubs in the Riviera Maya, it’s also a famous nightclub in the Cancún Hotel Zone. The perfect place to have fun with friends at the beach or pool while drinking a refreshing margarita or eating a delicious meal.

2) Kool Beach Club (Playa del Carmen)

One of the coolest places to spend the day in Playa. The beach club is really stylish and it has a large swimming pool. Lounge chairs and umbrellas, dishes and cocktails, and a DJ are also available. This place is so beautiful that it’s often used to celebrate weddings and private events. 

3) Papaya Playa (Tulum) 

Papaya Playa represents with precision the style of Tulum. Boho and chic details are all over the place combined with an eco-friendly design. It offers a spacious restaurant along with a large pool. Amazing views of the sea are guaranteed. 

4) Mamita’s Beach Club (Playa del Carmen)

Named after the owner’s grandmother, this place is the most famous beach club in the area. They offer services such as a full bar, a restaurant, shared pool, massages, valet parking, photography sessions and a boutique. It is also well-known for having great DJs and live lounges frequently. 

5) La Playa (Xpu-Ha)

Xpu-Ha is a hidden gem in the Mexican Caribbean and La Playa is its best beach club here. This amazing place is located between Playa del Carmen and Tulum and it’s becoming more popular each day. There’s live music every Saturday and Sunday to lighten the mood.
